All the work at All Saints is dependent, under God, on one source: the generous giving of church family members.

WHY GIVE?

‘For you know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that though he was rich, yet for your sake he became poor, so that you by his poverty might become rich.’ (2 Corinthians 8:9)

God has shown his great generosity towards us in the life, death and resurrection of the Lord Jesus. Having received such undeserved generosity, we are set free to give generously in response. We all have something to give – God wants us to be generous not just with our money but with our time, energy and skills as well. We should treat this matter carefully and prayerfully, not giving out of a desire to relieve guilt; avoid other ways of serving; or to be seen as generous. ‘Each of you should give what you have decided in your heart to give, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver.’ (2 Corinthians 9:7)

WHAT DOES ALL SAINTS SPEND MONEY ON?

Our principal area of expenditure is staffing costs. Our rector is paid directly by the Church of England; we pay a ‘ministry share’ to the Diocese of Ely which matches this cost, covers his accommodation, and goes toward funding the diocese and training colleges. Another major area of expenditure is gifts to overseas mission partners and societies. Buildings and administration costs make up the balance of what we spend. The church accounts are published annually, and how our money is spent is monitored by the church’s elected representatives on the Parochial Church Council (PCC).

HOW CAN I GIVE?

Little Shelford Parochial Church Council is the name by which the church operates as a registered charity (no. 1130554) and it is the name on our bank account. This pays for everything All Saints does (including staff salaries and running costs) and is almost entirely funded by donations from members. We depend on your gifts – and if you can commit to giving a regular amount, that really helps with budgeting.  Thank you for giving, and thank God for providing the means to do so!

If you are making a one-off gift and you are taxpayer, please complete a Gift Aid form if you have not completed one before – click here.

If you give by standing order, you'd reduce our administration effort if you could switch to giving by PGS. Contact the Treasurer (treasurer@allsaintslittleshelford.org) for help.
